DSA Boeing 787 Professional FSX Exclusive Package First Edition

      DSA Boeing 787 Professional FSX Exclusive Package First Edition is a initiative from DSA team to create the realistic add-on of Boeing 787 family available through Microsoft Flight Simulator X. To create the most realistic add-on available DSA will collaborate with Boeing and make visits to Seattle to study the aircraft in detail ,ask test pilots, engineers, measuring  and more for a good study of the aircraft. We will give chance to all developers to help us in building this add-on and to collaborate in all aspects of the project so you will have the opportunity to make part of the project from the beginning.  We will need developers at the gauges section ,3d model, .dll and marketing. Because we will need help from talented developers  the reward will come together with the launch of the package on major simulator sites. To join the project all you have to do is to complete the DForm and send by e-mail with some attached images of your work and in a short time we will announce you if you are in.

 

Description of the DSA Boeing 787 Professional FSX Exclusive Package First Edition

     Boeing 787 Family FSX Exclusive Package First Edition will  include three types (possible four types) of aircraft : B787-3, B787-8 and B787-9 (possible B787-9C) with over 20 variants for each type. The aircraft has some new operating systems elements derivate from military tech like: HUD (Head-Up-Display) ,Advanced-System-Diagnostic and more. The aircraft mesh and mapping will be build in high detail including Specular, Self-Illumination and Bump mapping. High Detail Virtual Cockpit and 2D Planar Cockpit ,including aisles interiors and cargo. Two types of interiors : B787-3 and B787-9C.

     Unique performances ,study on their aerodynamic profiles ,their innovative aspects and avionics. Special points of interest: higher economy ,higher autonomy and maneuverability. We will offer the opportunity  to take control of the new commercial aircraft Boeing 787 and try to experience the real missions calendar for testing schedule in 2006-2007.

   

3D Design of the Boeing 787 

The Boeing 787 3D Mesh presented in this package will not be a intuitive one, the 3D design elaborated with the help of Boeing is a long term study of the design itself as a final product.

Usually the artistic look of the aircraft presented before the official presentation is a little bit different from the original one , usually those differences are the most important elements of the design , removed from media for security and project schedule reasons. This package offers a deductive and real analysis on the aircraft design and performance available now on FSX platform. We will give you some unique design elements of Boeing 787 which make him the most efficient aerodynamically on lift/drag proportion.

A. So the Boeing 787 doesn't  look spectacular ,i mean it's still a Cuban cigar  with two main wings attached and a tale. The 'cuban cigar' or the main fuselage has some important new features. The process of prefabrication and semi-fabrication ,this process off increasing standardization  has sign fitly grown in quality like materials ,assembled methods ,simplicity and safety. The aircraft main fuselage will be build on the principle of standard prefabricated module which will reduce cost and time. Aerodynamic profiles are a little more different from commercial aircrafts used with. We can start from the nose which has a high angle of attack , your first observation is a long smooth nose fuselage derivate from military aircrafts. Drag comes in a very low angle increasing with this lift and aerodynamic coefficient. The fuel tank is different too ,constructed in a perfect harmony with the atmosphere.

 

B.  In my opinion the most important new element is the main wing it self ,for professional pilots and engineers this change is huge. They give up the little top wing for stability , the wing has become a complete low radian curve with important roles. They increased the surface of the wing in comparison with the 757 or 737 and eliminated the little top wing with a smooth curve. The role of the smooth curve is that on turns the aircraft has more stability and will reduce the tendency to enter in high angle descend or in case of a storm the known "alcoholic step" flight usually known from take-off and landings. 

C.  The Vertical Rudder has a relative low height with median radian curves at the top .
